For measurement of intrinsic viscosity of transparent Newtonian liquids according to ASTM D 445 and ISO 3104. Specifications conform to ASTM D 446 and ISO 3105. Viscometer constant is same at all temperatures.
Ubbelohde viscometers are for use with transparent liquids. Unlike the Cannon-Fenske Routine viscometer, suspended level viscometers possess the same viscometer constant at all temperatures. This property is advantageous when measurements are to be made at a number of different temperatures. Cannon has improved the design of the Ubbelohde viscometer to make a more rugged instrument called the Cannon-Ubbelohde viscometer. Other suspended level viscometers include the BS/IP/SL, BS/IP/SL(S), and BS/IP/MSL viscometers.

CUSD-11 Calibrated Series
For measurement of intrinsic viscosities extrapolated to zero shear rate. Provide five-fold range of shear rates. Design gives extra mechanical strength. Negligible kinetic energy correction.
Provided with certificate of calibration and instruction sheet.
Minimum sample volume 20mL. Require liquid bath depth of 280 mm (11 inches).

CUSD-17 Calibrated Series
Similar to CUSD-11, but provide ten-fold range of shear rates.
Provided with certificate of calibration and instruction sheet.
Minimum sample volume 20mL. Require liquid bath depth of 430 mm (17 inches).
