Ubbelohde viscometers are for use with
transparent liquids. Unlike the Cannon-Fenske
Routine viscometer, suspended level viscometers possess the same
viscometer constant at all temperatures. This property is advantageous
when measurements are to be made at a number of different temperatures.
Cannon has improved the design of the Ubbelohde viscometer to make a
more rugged instrument called the Cannon-Ubbelohde
viscometer. Other suspended level viscometers include the
BS/IP/SL,
BS/IP/SL(S), and BS/IP/MSL
viscometers.
Calibrated UB Series
For measurement of kinematic viscosity of transparent Newtonian liquids
by suspended level principle as described in ASTM D 445 and D 446, and
ISO 3104 and 3105. Similar to Cannon-Ubbelohde
but less rugged in design.
UBC Unity Factor Series
Constant within +/- 0.2% of approximate constant.
Provided with certificate of calibration and instruction sheet.
Minimum sample volume 11mL. Required liquid bath depth of 241 mm (9.5
in). |
