RS Random Multi-Axis Random Vibration Control Software

The IST random vibration control software is part of the IST suite of software programs. It runs under the RS Console set up module and runs alongside the other RS LabSite™ programs. RS Random is designed for the control of multi-axis vibration systems. The inputs usually being defined as the spectrum that is to be achieved at a given sensor on a test rig such as accelerometers mounted to measure g levels in different axes on a shake table. The program works in real time, developing the correct drive signal for the actuators in order to achieve the predefined inputs.

Capabilities

  • System accepts multiple inputs and multiple outputs controlling to max, min or mean.

  • Remote sensors are controllable, assuming diagonal dominance between input and outputs.

Test Definition

  • Accepts inputs defined as auto-spectrum either graphically or through numerically defined break points.

  • Accepts inputs of real time data with analysis and conversion to frequency domain.

  • Stores any number of predefined test profiles for future use.

  • Flexible choice of frequency domain resolution/window types etc.

Running Tests

  • Run time display shows target spectrum and evolving spectrum of achieved signal. Choice of displays available.

  • Test duration is defined by a predefined time.
