Round Style Durometers
The Shore Round Style Durometer was introduced in 1944. It is a general purpose device that is the most widely used instrument throughout the world for the hardness testing of cellular, soft and hard rubber, and plastic material. It is small enough to be carried in the pocket and rugged enough to operate in the most hostile environment. The Round Durometer was designed to satisfy the industries' needs for a basic, ASTM D2240 compliant unit with a scale graduated in increments of one durometer point. The analogue durometer may be manually applied or, for better repeatability and accuracy, mounted on an applicable operating stand..

Quadrant Durometers
Quadrant Durometers, introduced in 1915, were the original Durometer in the Shore product line. The Quadrant is ideal for manual applications through its small, lightweight, and rugged design. The dial is graduated from 0-100 in 5-point increments with a pointer sweep of 74 degrees. Suitable for hardness testing of cellular, soft and hard rubber and plastic materials.

Pencil Style Durometer
The Pencil Style Durometer's small, lightweight, and rugged design make it ideal for carrying in the pocket. It has an easy to read vernier scale graduated in increments of 5 durometer points with interpolation to 2 durometer points.
