The Australia Hydrographers Association provides a forum for the interchange of knowledge and ideas and represents the interests of all Australia Hydrographers and other associated industry staff and stakeholders.

In response to increasing stresses on water resources and how they are being used, plans such as the National Water Security Plan and other national funding by National Water Initiative and Raising Standards Programme have been developed. Outside these, industry and users of water have also been undertaking in iniatives to understand and better manage this precious resource.

Conference Aim:
The aim of this year's conference is to highlight and report on how initiatives and funding are being implemented in the improvement of water resources assessment nationally. Papers presented will address projects funded by various programmes and other initiatives, and their impact on understanding better Australia's water resource availability, variability and for its better management into the future.
