The universal, flexible, and mobile 4-channel frontend SQuadriga stands out with its miniature size, light weight, and a wide range of applications.  SQuadriga may be operated either as stand-alone device or as a frontend in combination with a PC or notebook.

The Stand-alone Mode 
Start Recording Right Away and Unencumbered Data collection on the integrated flash memory is accomplished with high fidelity and without the presence of any self-generated acoustic noise. SQuadriga may be operated anywhere measurements are required, thanks to its compact, light weight design and battery capacity of several hours. The display and function pushbuttons are conveniently arrange to allow easy operation using one hand.

Frontend Mode 
In combination with a notebook, SQuadriga becomes a powerful frontend. The data is recorded directly to the hard disk of a notebook via a USB connection which enables a considerable increase in the available recording time.

Headset BHS 
In addition, it is possible to achieve aurally accurate recordings with a headset that can be ordered as an accessory. 4-channel recordings can be accomplished with the addition of two sensors. Playback that is true-to-the-original of the artificial head recordings available via the headset.
 

Equalisation
SQuadriga has a supplementary playback equalization which automatically adjusts to the headset, the headphones, and the line output in addition to the standard recording equalizations that may be selected for playback such as free field, diffuse field and independent of direction (ID). The recorded signals can be embedded with RPM impulses during the recording and can later be extracted during playback.

Power Supply
A battery with a "smart" charging electronics system and a high capacity frees SQuadriga from external power requirements. Nevertheless, SQuadriga can be operated via the external power supply unit PSH I.2 or via its USB connection.
