A calibration tube is nothing more than a rigid tube that is terminated on one side. At the place where it is terminated, a calibration microphone is fitted.

The distance between the probe that is calibrated and the reference microphone at the end of the tube is an important value. This value can be altered by switching the end part.

Calibration tube model T02 (shown above) has two openings, one on each side. One of the openings has a 45 degree rotation in order to allow calibration of the USP. The endcaps on either sides of the tube are removable.

The tube can be used in a 100Hz - 4kHz bandwidth.
