Wide Variety of Applications
The TMO2-TC serves a wide variety of needs in many industries. Typical applications include top-gas hydrogen analysis in blast furnaces and in heat-treating ovens; monitoring hydrogen in generator cooling systems; gas purity monitoring of Ar, H2 and N2; H2 in ammonia or methanol synthesis gas; and CO2 in fermentation and other biochemical processes.

The TMO2-TC gas analyser provides sensitive, accurate, online analysis of composition based on the thermal conductivity of gases in a mixture. It uses two ultra-stable precision thermistors: one in contact with the sample gas and one in contact with a sealed or flowing reference gas. Since it has no moving parts, the transmitter can handle shock and vibration. Its unique design makes it insensitive to contamination and sample flow rate variation.

The TMO2-TC can be field calibrated or, due to its modular construction, the plug-in measuring cell can be quickly replaced with a pre-calibrated spare. For optimal installation, the TMO2-TC features split construction. This allows the transmitter to be located up to 1,200 feet (366 m) from the display, connected via an inexpensive, unshielded cable.
