The BUEHLER® Cast N’ Vac Castable Vacuum System is a self-contained vacuum impregnation system for use with castable epoxy resins. The Cast N’ Vac removes trapped air from mounting material. Without the presence of air, the mounting compound fills the sample pores and eliminates the gaps between the sample and the compound. Edge retention is enhanced and brittle samples are supported during the grinding/polishing process. The system comes complete with a small quantity of mixing supplies, sample holding cups, and epoxy supply tubes.
