Buehler DuoMet® 2 and SurfMet® I Belt Surfacers make grinding metallographic or spectrographic samples easy and efficient. Available in dual or single belt units, the DuoMet 2 and SurfMet I, respectively, feature 2 and 3 horsepower (373 and 249W), heavy-duty, fused motors for superior durability and performance. Replaceable stainless steel wear plates are designed to maximize machine life. Separate belt flushing and coolant controls guarantee adequate removal of particulate matter from the grinding belt, for efficient cutting action, while providing critical specimen cooling. The stainless steel sink with faucet allows the convenience of quickly grinding and washing the specimen in one location; this feature is particularly useful between coarse and fine grinding steps and for production applications.
