Designed to prepare up to 50 notched specimens for impact testing using the linear knife cutting technique.
This equipment can also be equipped with optional saws to prepare impact specimens from multipurpose dumbbell specimens according to ISO 3167 and ASTM D 638.
Optional knife cooling eliminates effects of heat stress during notching, allowing for maximum notching speeds. Knife speed and advancement are set by the user and automatically controlled during the cycle.
A wide range of interchangeable constant profile knives is available to meet international, national and custom requirements.

CEAST is proposing a complete series of instruments designed for the sample preparation. The product range includes instruments to cut out specimens from thin and soft materials, manual and fully automatic notching instruments for the execution of the notch on the sample according to the different international standards, milling machines to obtain specimens from rigid and reinforced materials, from pipes and from finished products. CEAST is also offering the renowned line of Axxicon Moulds designed for the manufacturing of test specimens to determine the mechanical (i.e. impact strength) and non-mechanical (i.e. flammability) properties of polymers.
