Features & Benefits

  • The Fractovis Plus has been developed to run statistical and instrumented impacts using the "Guided Falling Weight" technique.

  • This instrument can test films, rigid specimens, finished goods, pipes, and more.

  • The modular base allows users to define an initial configuration that can grow as their needs change.

  • The base instrument can perform tests at room temperature with variable speeds; up to 4,6 m/s, and can reach up to 755 J potential energy.

  • Optional equipment includes: thermal conditioning chamber (-70° to +150°), additional energy system (to reach up to 1800 J and 24 m/s), anti-rebound (for single impact by striker), striker lubrication, automatic weighing, automatic specimen feeding, etc.

  • Instrumented impact can be performed with a variety of strikers using either strain gauge or piezoelectric tups when used together with the DAS 16000 or DAS Junior.

  • Meets ISO, ASTM, DIN, BS and other standards.

CEAST is proposing a wide range of instruments designed to determine the mechanical and physical properties of polymers, composites and finished products for both research and development (R&D) and quality control (QC). The pendulum family was designed in order to perform Charpy, Izod and Tensile impact testing on material specimens according to international standards. It’s possible to choose between not instrumented testing, for the calculation of the resilience, and instrumented testing thus allowing a more complete investigation on the properties of the material which can show a brittle or a ductile behaviour also depending on the test conditions (i.e. temperature).

Furthermore CEAST is proposing a new advanced high energy falling weight instrument suitable for testing on standard specimens and finished products with maximum impact energy up to 1800 J and maximum impact speed up to 24 m/s. CEAST is also proposing other instruments for testing on pipes, for creep and fatigue evaluations.
