The CEAST Oxygen Index apparatus was designed for measuring the minimum concentration of oxygen, expressed as volume present, in a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen, that will just support flaming combustion of a sample. This test is applicable to flammable plastic material, rubber, wood, paper and assemblies under test control. The test is applicable in both self extinguishing or not format the CEAST Oxygen Index integrate two module.
