Features & Benefits

  • The ideal instrument for determining the flexural strength of a specimen, in addition to its elastic flexural modulus and other physical properties.

  • The instrument shows the applied force on its display.

  • The Force/Deformation curve of rigidity can be obtained using an X-Y recorder or using a PC with the specific software.

  • The maximum applied force on the specimen is 19.5 N.

  • This instrument meets ASTM and equivalent norms.

CEAST is proposing a wide range of instruments designed to determine the mechanical and physical properties of polymers, composites and finished products for both research and development (R&D) and quality control (QC). The pendulum family was designed in order to perform Charpy, Izod and Tensile impact testing on material specimens according to international standards. It’s possible to choose between not instrumented testing, for the calculation of the resilience, and instrumented testing thus allowing a more complete investigation on the properties of the material which can show a brittle or a ductile behaviour also depending on the test conditions (i.e. temperature).

Furthermore CEAST is proposing a new advanced high energy falling weight instrument suitable for testing on standard specimens and finished products with maximum impact energy up to 1800 J and maximum impact speed up to 24 m/s. CEAST is also proposing other instruments for testing on pipes, for creep and fatigue evaluations.
