The unique capabilities of the STE portable Brinell Hardness Tester make it a must-have for any company that does Brinell testing. STE can be used on large or awkward parts (minimum measurable thickness 5mm) and in confined areas.

The accuracy and consistency of the STE hardness tester is due to the original principle of the loading system. The applied force causes penetration of the indenter into the surface with a load determined by a calibrated expendable shear pin, which breaks at 1580 kp. The diameter of the resulting indentation is measured by means of a conventional Brinell scope.
