IPR+ IPEtOH Combined Online Refraction and Alcohol- C O R A

Request Info

Features & Benefits

  • Combined Online Refraction and Alcohol (Patent pending)

  • Continuous, combined measurement of refractive index, dry substance (Brix) and alcohol content

  • Real time measurements in processes (installation in pipes or vessels)

  • Refractive index, dry substance (Brix) and alcohol content

  • Analogue/digital processing of measuring values

  • Process monitoring and control

Applications:

  • Yeast fermentation, vinegar fermentation, other biotechnological fermentations

The measuring system determines the alcohol content of an aqueous solution. On one side the conductivity of a gas sensor is measured, on the other side the temperature in the solution. Both of them are combined together through a mathematical formula in such a way, that displays either an alcohol concentration between 0,0 and 7,0 Vol% or between 0,0 and 7,0 Vol‰. This information can be transmitted to the controls of any process superordinate systems (process control, control panels). The microcomputer has a lighted up LC-display and the operating takes place with the help of a membrane keyboard.
