The circle polarimeter Polartronic NHX is constantly giving the actual rotation value of the sample. The result will be shown in angular degrees, °, directly after switching the instrument on. With the arrow keys on the key board you can switch over to other scales, which are the International Sugar Scale (reading of 100.0 °Z for 26.0 g of pure sucrose in 100 cm3 of solution) and °Z*2 (13 g instead of 26 g) in the standard version of the instrument. You can define your own scales also.

The instrument is handled simply via four function keys. It has a one line 16 character LCD display with the possibility to display laevorotating samples. The instrument is equipped with a simple software for test routines and instrument configurations and a configurable RS232 interface. Other interfaces (or additional) are available.
