Saccharomat NIR Automatic Sugar Polarimeter

The Saccharomat is a fully automatic sugar polarimeter with quartz wedge compensation and complying with the ICUMSA recommendations. The Saccharomat use the quartz wedge principle which directly compares the rotation of the sugar sample to that of the quartz. Unlike a circle type polarimeter a wedge type is not sensitive to small changes in the wavelength .This makes the instrument very accurate and eliminates the need for checking and re-calibration with a quartz plate.

The Saccharomat NIR works at 882,44 nm. The advantage of the Saccharomat NIR is that samples, if thoroughly filtered, do not have to be clarified, because at NIR-wavelengths, highly absorbent samples may also be measured easily. In order to be able to control the stability of the measured values, the optical density will automatically be on display.
