• ROSETTE-Plus is a computer program that produces reduced data from strain measurements made with three-element strain gage rosettes. In addition to accepting measured strains, it also accepts those material properties and strain gage rosette parameters required for data reduction. If elected, ROSETTE-Plus corrects the measured strains for transverse sensitivity errors before calculating the principal strains and the directions of the principal axes. If the necessary materials properties are available, it also calculates the principal stresses. Calculations of the "equivalent stresses" associated with the various failure criteria, as well as plots of the Mohr circles for stress and strain, are also available.
  
  This software is based on Measurements Group Tech Note TN-509 (Errors Due to Transverse Sensitivity in Strain Gages) and Tech Note TN-515 (Strain Gage Rosettes - Selection, Application and Data Reduction). These technical publications should be used in conjunction with ROSETTE-Plus for a full understanding of the data reduction calculations made by it.
