Expert Diagnosis Techniques
Traditional methods of production testing rely on trained inspection staff at the end of the production process, listening as the product is operated, or visually checking for defects. This allows factors such as fatigue, concentration, or background noise levels to affect the process of deciding whether a product is fit to be shipped.
LineCHECK™ has been specifically designed to overcome these problems, replacing a highly subjective method with a repeatable, objective approach.
Costs Can Be Reduced LineCHECK™ improves the performance of inspection staff, helping them to make consistent judgements. In doing so,
LineCHECK™ can assist in improving product quality. Inspection costs can be reduced, and faulty sub-assemblies can be identified and pulled out before they are built-up.
LineCHECK™ also allows Production Test/Quality Managers to measure the effect of component design changes, control pass/fail levels, and reduce warranty returns.
Two functionally identical versions of the instrument are available, LineCHECK™ and
LineCHECKlite™. LineCHECK™, with its industrial enclosure, is well suited to life on a production line. The unit can be secured to a wall, and a protective door prevents accidental damage to the units control panel.
LineCHECKlite™is a fully hand-portable rugged instrument which can be used as a roving test unit across different production lines.
With a specially designed and user friendly interface, LineCHECK™ can be tailored to meet the exact requirements of a wide range of processes. The instrument is proving invaluable for manufacturers producing sub-assemblies destined for a 'zero failure' culture, such as the automotive industry or safety critical applications. Manufacturers of high volumes products, where inspection costs become an issue, will benefit from
LineCHECK™. Testing in noisy environments generally requires expensive and inconvenient sound booths, which interrupt the production process.
LineCHECK™ can be trained to ignore background and unwanted noise and focus only on the areas of spectral interest.
Invaluable For Manufacturers
Data from testing can be stored on PCMCIA memory cards, allowing off-line trend analysis. Produce historical trends and statistical analysis. Export information to popular software
packages.LineCHECK™ can assist in improving product quality, reduce inspection costs, pull out faulty sub-assemblies before they are built-up, measure the effect of component design changes, control pass/fail levels in a controlled manner, and control warranty returns.
