All LDS switching amplifiers utilise the latest generation Mk4 power module. Based on IGBT technology, this module switches at 150kHz to provide output power of 100V rms and 80A rms. LDS HPA-K, SPA-K and DPA-K amplifiers based on the Mk 4 module offer high efficiency (>93%) and low noise output. Modules can easily be added to give increased power outputs.

• 8 kVA power modules used in both LDS SPA-K and DPA-K amplifiers

• Self-contained units with independent cooling fans deliver continuous amplifier performance in the event of a single power module failure

• New design incorporating High Speed IGBT technology (patent applied for), chosen by LDS for improved efficiency

• High switching frequency for low distortion and simple output filter design for good stability.
