Our range of combo systems and slip tables meets the growing demand for more rigorous and comprehensive testing. Used extensively to test avionics and military hardware, automotive components and electronic assemblies, these high-precision systems put test items through their paces in the two horizontal axes as well as the vertical axis.

Most three-dimensional testing applications are met by an LDS trunnion mounted shaker and slip table combined in one fabricated frame. This provides fixed alignment between the shaker and the slip table, easy installation and mobility of the entire system. For testing very large or dynamically complex payloads we recommend a stand-alone trunnion mounted shaker with a separate slip table on a seismic base. This configuration provides the ultimate pitch, roll and yaw restraint.

The largest of the LDS V700 series and all V800 and V900 series shakers can be supplied as a combo system. All feature the LDS Lin-E-Air body isolation and guidance system, which ensures the shaker body is maintained on the central line to minimise distortion and maximise low frequency and payload capabilities.

LDS Combo Systems utilise one of two types of slip table, both of which can be supplied up to 3m (117") square.

Low pressure tables (LPT series)
Using guidance bearings to minimise axial distortion and an oil film for load support, LPT slip tables provide the cost effective solution to most production line and research applications. 

Hydrostatic Bearing Tables (HBT series)
For more strenuous requirements the HBT series slip tables use linear hydrostatic bearings to enhance the load carrying capability.

All LDS slip tables use custom designed rugged steel chassis. This allows maximum stiffness and optimum cost as the synthetic granite provides an excellent bearing surface for the oil film supporting the slip plate. Alignment is factory set and tested. Custom designed cast driver bars also provide good stiffness with low mass allowing you the greatest payload.
