  • Installs Between ICP™ Microphone Preamplifier and ICP® Sensor Signal Conditioner

  • Connects with Low-cost Coaxial Cable

  • Supports Use of TEDS-capable ICP™ Microphone Preamplifiers

  • Provides Cost-effective “A-weighting” Solution

Model 426B02 In-line Filter is used in conjunction with an ICP™ preamplifier to provide A-weighting for acoustic measurements. The filter can be used with PCB® microphone preamplifier Models 426B03 and 426D01. The filter and preamplifier are powered by low-cost, constant current (4 to 20 mA) excitation commonly used with ICP® sensors. The inline filter is inserted between the preamplifier and the constant current source. Since the system is low impedance, low-cost cables can be used, greatly reducing overall signal conditioning costs. This ICP® design allows for significant savings in power supply and cabling cost, greater ease-of-use and operates from the same power required for ICP® accelerometers. This provides the advantage of using microphones with ICP® accelerometers in the same test, with the same signal conditioning equipment, minimizing set-up time.
